Professional Chicago Headshots

So, it has been a very long time since I have posted anything here and things have really changed since then.  I moved from LA, back to Chicago after having a child, to be closer to family and friends and to be able to raise him in an environment, similar to how I was raised.  That is the long story short version.

Although, I continue to shoot commercially, I have also opened a second studio / brand Tiny Space Studio that focused on Professional Headshots In Chicago and in this business, I also just recently expanded to Family and Kids Photographer Chicago sessions.  I am not the sole photographer at these businesses, I have associate photographers here in Chicago that help when I am away on commercial jobs, but non the less, I am proud of this business and actually find it quite fun and a refreshing way to fill in the down time between big ad jobs.

I really started it out very slowly, no advertising, no SEO, just word of mouth through colleagues and friends.  But as time has passed it seems to be taking on a life of it's own and growing bigger and bigger, busier and busier, which has really been unexpected.  So, I am slowly beginning to market it more and I've got to say I have been surprised how much I enjoy it.  Clients are typically so excited about their images and genuinely happy to be there and greatful for the results.  It feels good.

On the Headshots Chicago side of the business, which is what this post is focused on, we not only shoot headshots of individuals in the studio, but also go to companies and shoot their whole staff.  Which is probably about 25% of the business.  In the past I have thought that headshot is such a dirty word, no-one like's headshots.  So, we have tried to make ours a mix between headshot and portrait and keep it clean and modern.  We give our clients wardrobe styling advice and hi-end retouching, so they end up with a hi-end product in the end.  You can see some of our work below...
